With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Melson (Frankford, Delaware), born in Selbyville, Delaware, who passed away on September 11, 2018 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Benjamin Ralph Melson; his son Alton Lee Melson; his brother Levin James Melson; his mother-in-law Lizzie Anna Murray; and his grandparents, Frank Derrickson and Letha Derrickson.
He is survived by: his parent Alice Marie Melson (Murray); his wife Agnes I. Melson (Murray); his children, Herbert Melson, Jr. (Diane) of New Kent, VA, Ralph Melson (Vicki) of Pylesville, MD, Wayne Melson (Debbie) of Pearland, TX and Velicia Melson of Frankford; and his siblings, Ida Melson Olroyd of Marseilles, IL and Robert Melson (Pat) of Georgetown, DE. He is also survived by 9 other grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
