He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Suggs, Sr. and Mattie Mitchell Suggs; and his son Myron D. Suggs. He is survived by: his wife Starr F. Suggs; his children, Calvin Joe Suggs, Jr., Titania Whaley (Isaac) and Verona M. Pierre-Louis; his siblings, Elmer R. Cherry (Deloris), Howard H. Cherry, Courtland L. Suggs (Nicole), Betty Bryant (Cleveland) and Stephanie Showell (Steve); and his aunt Katherine Mitchell. He is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
