He was predeceased by: his brother Harold D. Barthel. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Deyhle (Walter) of Wallace, NC, Doug Barthel (Marisa) of Keller, TX, Beverly Van Roekel (Brad) of Sterling, VA and Matthew Barthel (Theresa) of Leesburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Deyhle, Steven Deyhle, Michael Deyhle, Andrew Deyhle, Melissa Hawkins, Jennifer Edgemon, Brittany Van Roekel, Ben Van Roekel, Grace Barthel, Sam Barthel and Betty Barthel. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
