He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gemmill and Eula "Helen" Gemmill; his uncle Charles; and his aunt Delia Wilhelm of Parkton, Maryland.. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Gemmill of Felton; his sons, Mark and Daniel (LoriAnn); his grandson Jonathan (Kendall); his great grandchild Noah; his sister-in-law Donna Keiser (Harry); and his cousin Alma (Gene Ore).
