He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burt and Carmen Burt. He is survived by: his wife Christine Burt of Dover, Delaware.; his children, Norman Burt II (Kathleen Newhouse) and Jamie Clawson (Travis); his grandsons, Aiden Clawson, Alex Clawson, Evan Burt and Nathaniel Burt; his siblings, Wayne Burt (Deb), Linda Newton (Sean) and Sue Sheets; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Kaczka (Ada), Tony Kaczka and Gene Kaczka (Courtney). He is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt. Plymouth AME Church (159 Plymouth Rd, Felton, DE 19943). He spent his covid lockdown days online gaming with Aiden, Alex, and their military friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations be made to St. Jude's Children's research hospital.
