She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Vernon Custin; and her sons, Clark Harold Payne and William Henry Taylor. She is survived by: her children, George "Mickey" Melvin Payne, Aurelia "Renee" Ellen Ferguson, Brenda Joyce Hopkins, John Weinacht Taylor, Jr. and Lucky Phillip Taylor; and her sister Rita Horris. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
