It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Ryder Jr. of Felton, Delaware, who passed away on January 23, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kenneth Ryder Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Nielsen and Kenneth Ryder, Sr.; his sister Joan Bartsch; and his stepson J. Wesley Withrow. He is survived by: his wife Joanna Ryder; his children, Abigail Hansen (Michael), Clifton Porter (Megan), John Kenneth Ryder (Suzette), Michele Algire (Ed) and Terri Kessel; his grandchildren, Alex Hubbard (Dave), Nicholas Kessel, Sydney Ryder, Destiny Hansen, Lilyana Porter, Alexis Hansen, Rhett Hansen, Dominic Porter and Calliope Porter; and his former wife BJ Ryder.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Melvin Funeral Home (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952).
