He is survived by: his parent Mary E. Hurd; his children, Mary E. Benham, Howard Hurd, Jr., Richard L. Hurd, Michael A. Hurd and Linda F. Dittman; his sister Mary Ann Metzner; his significant other Dorothy Moyer; and his niece Bonnie Walstead. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
