He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Hammaker and Robert Zettlemoyer Sr.; his brother Robert Zettlemoyer Jr.; and his nephew Steven Zettlemoyer. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Zettlemoyer of Dover, DE; his children, Walter Zettlemoyer Jr. (Angela) of New Jersey, Bonnie Gladu (Tom) of Hartly, DE and Debbie Satterfield (George) of Magnolia, DE; his sister Patricia Hoffman (Jake) of Townsend, DE; his grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan Zettlemoyer, Joshua, Corey, Seth, Carlie Gladu, Clay, Garrett, Lexi and Lacey Satterfield; and his great grandchildren, Jasper, Westley, Aurelia and Madeline.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19904). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Kent and Sussex Industry Camp Lenape.
