He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Wharton and Helen E. Wharton; and his sister Mary Ann Daily. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen N. Wharton; his son David J. Wharton (Kimberly) of Dover, Delaware.; his grandchildren, Tommy, Leah, Clayton and Enola Wharton; and his brother Edward J. Wharton (Cherylann) of Philadelphia. He is also survived by his family, especially the grandkids, and his love of dogs.
