Stephen Bruce Arnold Obituary

Stephen Bruce Arnold, a man whose life was marked by controversy and pain for those he left behind, has passed away at the age of 81 on January 25, 2024.

Steve was a man of many contradictions. While he was loved by some, his actions left a trail of hurt and disappointment for others. His decision to abandon his family in Southern California when his son and daughter were 11 and 7, coupled with his failure to fulfill financial obligations such as alimony and child support, cast a shadow over his relationships.

His infidelity and the subsequent dissolution of his marriage to his first wife caused immense emotional turmoil. The family along with others who cared for them, bore the brunt of his choices.

Steve went further, alienating family members from sharing important milestones, such as his son's bar mitzvah, a day that should have been filled with celebration and familial support. Rather he pressured his sister, cousin's, nieces and nephews to pick sides rather than attend his son's important day.

Steve's interactions with his son was often combative, resorting to physical aggression instead of nurturing a healthy relationship.

While Steve's passing may bring closure to some, for others, it serves as a reminder of the complex and painful dynamics that can exist within families.
While he leaves a second wife and daughter (son in law and three grandchildren) from his second marriage, Steve also leaves behind his older sister (her children and their spouses, and grandchildren).

Lastly, Steve leaves his son (wife and four children), his daughter (husband and two children) all of whom reside in California in which he never made an effort to meet.
