In the vast expanse of eternity, Shannon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shannon farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Dunham and Geraldine Dunham; her brother Thomas Dunham; and her nephew Christopher Abernathy. She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Ann Akers; and her brothers, James (Barbara Dunham), Bret (Angie Dunham) and John (Margaret Dunham).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Shannon's memory.
