He was predeceased by: his mother Yvette Valiere of Peter's Basilica; his adoptive parents, Jean Paul (Emilia Bilodeau-Doyon) and Emilia; his brothers, Rosaire and Jean Marie; and his in-laws, Grace and Wesley Banse.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Sue; his sister Anne Marie Doyon of Lewiston; and his stepdaughters, Krista McKenzie McElwain and Shawna Helen McKenzie.
