She was predeceased by: her former husband William R. "Bill" Sparks; and her parents, Francis Yanes and Limbia Yanes. She is survived by: her daughters, Valerie Sparks and Jenny Sparks (Lars Norpchen); her brother Richard Yanes (Judy); her grandsons, Sean Kittle (Christine), Tyler Kittle (Sarah), Christopher Kittle (Kelly), Dominic Kittle and Eamon Kittle; her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Belle, Ethan, Nash, Nicole, Luke and Noelle; and her husband Caesar Rodney.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19904). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (631 S State St, Dover, DE 19901). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701). In her retirement she was active in RSVP serving fellow seniors (and had fun doing it!).
