A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Olive Branch A. M. E. Church (1734 N Hwy 17, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens (1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
Her contributions to education earned her a nomination for Who's Who Among American Teachers in 2005.
