Gladys I. Yoder Obituary
We bid farewell to Gladys I. Yoder of Dover, Delaware, born in McAlisterville, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 28, 2025 at the age of 93. Gladys touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Wert and Alma Wert (Lauver); her siblings, Harold Wert (Mary), Orpha Gingrich (Lloyd) and Alene Yoder (Mark); her brothers-in-law, Vernon Zehr and Allan Shirk; her sons, Robert and Joseph; her daughter-in-law Dawn; and her great grandchildren, Bennett and Mitchell.
She is survived by: her husband Jesse J. Yoder; her children, Shirley (Maynard Miller), Naomi (Robert Miller), David (Ellie), Paul (Erma) and Jonathan (Heleen); and her siblings, Freda Zehr, Alma Jean Yoder (Harvey), Ruth Ann Shirk and Lloyd Wert (Bev). She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, eighty-one great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Central Mennonite Church (220 W Denneys Rd, Dover, DE 19904). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Central Christian School, 220 W. Denney's Rd., Dover, DE 19904.
