We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2021, at the age of 94, Gertrude Burgess of Dover, Delaware, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ruehl and Charlotte Ruehl (Meyer); her husband Arnold J. Burgess; her sister Louise Darling; and her cousin Flossie Erickson.
She is survived by: her aunt Elizabeth Schorski; her uncle Otto Meyer; her cousin Bea Knutikowski; her granddaughter Raye Ann Peters of Dover; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Tony Mozick, Jr. and Violet Peters; her great great grandchildren, Robert, Zoey, Jerry, Kaliey and Jaylynn; and her nephew James Darling of Camden.
Funeral Services will be held 11am, Tuesday, January 26, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view 1 hour before adhering to the current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing, social distancing, and 50 people maximum at a time.
