He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marian Haines, Jay and Faith Krebs; and his daughter Tina Nisbet. He is survived by: his sister Margaret "Peggy" Kirsch (Marian Symer) of Arcadia, FL; his stepfather Jay Weaver; his wife Nancy Louise Becht; his children, Michael of Justin, TX, Cheryl Gallagher (Kevin) of Grovetown, GA, David of Novato, CA, Jeff (Charlene) of Peachtree City, GA, Jody Stein (Don) of Dover, DE, Bonnie Turner (Sam) of Leesburg, VA and Timothy (Hyunjung) of Ashburn, VA.; and his grandchildren, Kate, Miranda, Ryan, Erin, Jessie, Josh W., Rachael, Ben, Caleb, Jenny, Josh S., Emily, Zachary, Jessica, Jackson and Nancy. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
