She was predeceased by: her parents, Thornton Van Stewart and Myrtle Holloway; her husband Richard H. Rice; and her sister Helen James. She is survived by: her children, Mark Rice and Merry Fratelli (Jeff Beene). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
