He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Johnson and Dorothy Johnson; his son Jeffrey Ronald Johnson; and his brother David Russell Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Johnson; his daughter Julie Johnson; and his brother Richard Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and sisters and brothers in law.
