He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Prettyman and Mae Prettyman (Hastings); his siblings, Martha Ellen Prettyman and Freddie Prettyman; his brothers-in-law, Dwight Johnson, Jeffery Walls and Richard Littleton; and his former wife Barbara Prettyman.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Prettyman (Downs); his sons, Ryan Prettyman (Megan) of Delmar, Kyle Prettyman (Abby Finch) of Delmar and Chase Prettyman of Delmar; his grandson Garrett Prettyman; his siblings, Esther Hastings (Clarke), Clara Belle Littleton and Robert Prettyman (Joyce); and his sisters-in-law, Lisa Walls and Kathy Moore. He is also survived by several nephews and a niece.

Flowers will be accepted at Short Funeral Home in Delmar or a donation can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice in Milford, Delaware.
