He was predeceased by: his parents, Reece Gilbert Hales, Sr. and Dolores Watson; and his brother Johnny Hales. He is survived by: his wife Kelly L. Hales; his children, Paige Hales Payton (Matthew), Reece G. Hales, III and Gary Scott Hales; his sisters, Deborah Hales, Diane Evans and Susan Hales; his nephew Eric Evans; and his close friends, Carlos Ortiz, Joe Harris and Barry Byers. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
