She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Van Meter; her sister Martha Cordrey; her grandson Thomas Calloway; and her great grandchild Mason Hunt. She is survived by: her children, Robert Allen Van Meter, Sr. (Joan), Dee Calloway, Wendy Catlin-Hamblin (Ed) and Janet Fox (Andy); her grandchildren, April, Brandon, Robbie, Nathan, Katie and Jessie; and her sisters-in-law, Violet Bedsworth and Linda Johnson. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Short Funeral Home (13 E Grove St, Delmar, DE 19940). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
