He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McCarty and Florence McCarty; and his brother Doug McCarty. He is survived by: his wife Jackie McCarty; his children, Michael McCarty (Michelle), Lynne McCarty, Glenn McCarty (Kathy), Carlene Gerigitan (John) and Kenny McCarty (Valerie); and his stepsons, Mark Bridges and Gregg Bridges (Millie). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
He was also talented at carving decoys and was a member of the Ward Foundation and Delmarva Decoy Collectors Association.
