He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Revel and Mahaley Revel Cash; his wife Joanne Lutz Revel; and his sons, John Robert Revel, Jr. and Michael Alan Revel.
He is survived by: his children, Angie Meyer (Mike), Laurie Short (Buddy), Amy Swiezy (Stan), Debbie Phillips, Jamie Kilburn (Tim), Rickie Sutton, Misty Kelly, Bruce Revel (Js), Mike Phillips (Kim) and David Phillips (Cheryl); and his sister Ruth McDougal. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
