He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Short (Fletcher); his daughters, Donna Bowers (Doug), Tracey Melton and JoAnn Melton (Joey); his siblings, Jeanette, Austin, Judy Griffith (Howard), Jack Short and Jimmy Short; his sister-in-law Vicki Gray; his grandchildren, Chuckie Creighton (Stephanie), Josh Creighton and Jessica Blann (Jeremy); and his stepgrandchildren, Doug Bowers, Josh Bowers (Kristen) and Ashley Bowers.
