He was predeceased by: his son Matthew Ballard Cooper. He is survived by: his son Mark (Karen) of Bishopville; his daughter-in-law Karen; his grandchildren, Kristin Stortini of Rockville and Paul Stortini of Philadelphia; his daughter-in-law Denise K. Cooper of Delmar; and his siblings-in-law, Lesley Ballard Todd (Mark) of Stevensville, MD, Gary Ballard (Aggie) of Laurel, MD, Roger Ballard (Mary) of Chester, MD and Barbara Ballard of Elizabethton, TN..
Due to the present Covid-19 restrictions, services and a celebration of life for Gary's family and friends will be held at a future date.
