She was predeceased by: her husband Orlando Harrison Mariner, Jr.; her parents, Frances Dickel Shortt and Jesse Shortt; her stepmother Kathleen Watson; her grandparents, John, Margaret Dickel, Thomas and Ella Shortt; her siblings, Baby Boy Shortt, Jesse Shortt, Gary Shortt, Barbara Carey and Nancy Franklin; and her brother-in-law Al Melson.
She is survived by: her son Orlando H. "Mike" Mariner, III (April) of Snow Hill; her grandson Jesse Mariner; her sister Mary Ann Melson; her sister-in-law Debbie Shortt; her nephew Robert Franklin; and her niece Carol Franklin Hudson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
