It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Lee Layfield of Delmar, Delaware, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Samuel Layfield and Virginia Lee Christopherson (Shockley); and his brother Charles Edward Layfield. He is survived by: his siblings, Peggy Ann Adams (Sonny), Bill Layfield and Ruth Wolfgang (Edwin). He is also survived by 3 nieces; 6 nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
