He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard Mitchell Sr. and Edith E. Mitchell of Smyrna, DE.; his wife Ann E. Mitchell; his sister Marion; his brother-in-law Joseph Kawulok; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law William S. Lewis Sr.; his brother James L. Mitchell Jr.; and his sister-in-law Connie Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Forrest (Chucky), Debbie Mitchell, Elizabeth Ford and AJ Mitchell (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Chuck Forrest (Sam), Cody Forrest, Sam Gonce, Deanna Gonce, Gia Ford-Turpin (Anthony), AJ Mitchell and Jake Mitchell; his great grandchild Willa (Gia); and his brother Sammy Mitchell (Diane). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
At this time, there will be no reception following the graveside services due to current social distancing restrictions.
