It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Schwalb of Clayton, Delaware, born in Salamanca, New York, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Vera Cushner. He is survived by: his friend Ray Mackie of Smyrna, DE; and his children, Michael Jackson (Nancy) of Liberty Township, OH, Kim Hall (Dan) of Chestertown, MD, Jeff Cushner (Debra) of Newark, DE and Richard M. Cushner (Lisa) of Middletown, DE. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be privately held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. All in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ambulance 64, 900 Smyrna Clayton Blvd., Smyrna, DE 19977; or to Citizens Hose Co. #1, PO Box 97, Smyrna, DE 19977.
