He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Hobbs and Mildred Hobbs; his wife Sylvia Hobbs; and his siblings, Gerald, Robert Hobbs and Lois Gleason.
He is survived by: his brother Nelson Hobbs (Marian Lord) of Elon, NC; and his nephews, Robert Shortlidge (Jeannette) of Dover, DE, Christopher Shortlidge (Laurie) of Pittsboro, NC, David Klein of Elkton, MD and Andrew Klein of Philadelphia, PA.. He is also survived by Fourteen Grandchildren, sixteen Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
