He was predeceased by: his brother Thomas V. Allen, Jr. (Allen). He is survived by: his close friend Joan Spillane; his children, Ralph C. Allen, II and Maria Diane Allen; his nephew Christopher Allen; and his niece Lauren Durk (John) of Dover. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Veterans Affairs or Wounded Warrior Project.
