He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle W. Cole and Pearl E. Cole (Morris); and his pet Ebony. He is survived by: his friends, Legion and Farmers; his brother Pop-Pop; his children, Scott Cole (Kelley), Susan Cole (Brandon Diaz), Britney Cole and Brandy Jewell; his grandchildren, Grayson, Carter of Bryce, KK, Everett, Tanner, Paisley and Delaney; his siblings, Almeda Cole (Dee) and Mary Jane Diemicke; and his aunt Virginia Morris.
