He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Evans and Della Evans; his daughters, Jamie Hamner of North Carolina, Kathy Trate of Hartly, Delaware., Maggie May and Annabelle; his grandchildren, James, Jonathan, Jared, Bridgette and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Virginia and Ivey Ruth; and his siblings, Joseph Evans of Milford, Anna Evans of Clayton and Della Evans of Ohio. He was also cherished by several nieces and a nephew.
