He is survived by: his wife Joan Tuohey; his children, Steven Nagle of Blacksburg, VA, Sharon Bennett (Steve) of The Villages, FL and Kathleen Hope of Wilmington, DE; his daughter-in-law Donna Carpenter of Severn, MD.; his grandchildren, Casey Armstrong (Bryce) of Leesburg, VA, Monica Goeke (Ben) of Oconomowoc, WI, Kevin Bennett (Ashley) of Portland, OR, Matthew, Molly Hope of Wilmington, DE and Drew Nagle of Blacksburg, VA; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Leighton, Cannon Armstrong, Miles and Ada Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 225 North Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago IL 60601.

He said clichés I’ve never heard before. Always said he was grateful for having lived such good years. My dad Joe Meriggi passed away last July. May they Rest In Peace. Maria Denney”
