He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillian E. Sr and Clarence E. Elliott, Sr.; his children, Edward Elliott and Carol Elliott; his wife Gwen Elliott; his children, Gary Elliott (Cheryl), James McDaniel (Julie) and Troy McDaniel (Darrin Moore); and his grandsons, Jeffrey Elliott (Marie Dellinger), James McDaniel (Crystal Pini), Joshua McDaniel, Jesse McDaniel, Jason Elliott, Matthew Elliott and John Golf.
