She is survived by: her husband James Carter Sr.; her sisters, Margo Simmons, Stephanie Garland, Debbie Lindsey and Shantina Young; her sisters-in-law, Shantina Young, Debbie Lindsey, Stephanie Garland and Margo Simmons; her brothers, Jerome Brinkley and Gregory Simmons; and her children, James Carter Jr. (Karen McElwee), Joseph Carter (Regina Carter), Myra Davis and Nicole Carter. She is also survived by grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
