He is survived by: his son James Wilhelm Jr.; his stepson Eric Cole; his grandchildren, Christa Hamner, Brooklyn Hamner, Christopher Cole and Hannah Cole; and his sisters, Mary Longfellow, Florence Wilhelm and Barbara Wilhelm. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
