Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ronald Lee Messick of Bridgeville, Delaware, who passed away at the age of 83, on January 10, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Messick and Blanche Messick (Henry); and his siblings, Louise Warrington, William and LeRoy Messick.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Beard Messick; his daughters, Karen Willin, Amy Hale (Dave) and Jennifer Kerr (Keith); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Smith (Russell), Kyle, Korey Kerr and Cameron Hale; and his great grandchildren, Ryder and Sawyer Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Hardesty Chapel (202 S Laws St, Bridgeville, DE 19933). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery (514 3rd St, Seaford, DE 19973).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ronnie's memory to the Wesley Fellowship Church, 22025, Atlanta Road, Seaford, DE 19973, or to Mason Dixon Woodworkers, PO Box 103, Delmar, DE 19940.
