With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Marie Marketto of Bridgeville, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Catherine Marie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Wilhelm and Katherine Wilhelm (Kay). She is survived by: her husband Ralph Marketto; and her sons, Erik, Aaron and Jon. She is also survived by her three brothers, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroad Community Church (20684 State Forest Rd, Georgetown, DE 19947). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cross Road Community Church (20684 State Forest Rd, Georgetown, DE 19947). A committal service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel Committal Feb.

“I was working in the gift shop at Nanticoke Hospital when my daughter,Kelly,who worked in HR, introduced me to a lovely lady named Cathy. I so enjoyed seeing her at the hospital when I was working. She was always in a great mood with a beautiful smile. I always missed her when I didn’t get to see her. I send heartfelt condolences to her family and I hope their memories of Cathy give them comfort.”
