As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Pettyjohn and Lina Pettyjohn; his wife Dorothy Louise Pettyjohn; and his sisters, Alma Pettyjohn, Doris Johnson and Frances Ockels.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Sibert (Gary), Deanna Nack (Billy), Tina Pettyjohn, Tammy Denherder (Alan), Thomas Edward Pettyjohn (Donnabelle), William Howard Hitchens and John T Pettyjohn Jr. (Melody). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Blades Cemetery (103 E High St, Blades, DE 19973).
