She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross G. Rusch and Mary M. Rusch (McConnell) of Easton. She is survived by: her daughters, Marianne Szanto Owens and Deborah Szanto Phillips; her sons-in-law, Peter Owens and Ted Phillips; her grandchildren, Brian Ross Owens, Lauren Elizabeth (Owens), Iskra (Jordan Iskra) and Tyler Ian Phillips; her great grandchildren, Brynn and Ross Iskra; her sister Vijaya Stevenson (Carol); her niece Kate Stevenson; her nephew Ross Stevenson; and her husband Paul Edmond Stubbe.
During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, she moved to Bethany Beach, Delaware, to be near her daughters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Nature Conservancy, bird rescue or endangered species organization, or to the American Indian College Fund.
