He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard S. Whiteman, Sr. and Sarah Garvine Whiteman; his wife Maureen Whiteman; his stepson Daniel Basco; his brother-in-law William Gallagher; and his pet Mickey.

He is survived by: his daughter Diane. He is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Claymont Fire Company, 3223 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, Delaware 19703-3206.
