It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Harvey Daye of Washington, District of Columbia, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Hester Evans Daye and Jabess Daye; his brother Eddie Jasper Daye; his wife Jean L. Daye; his granddaughter Stacey J. Kornegay; and his daughter Phyllis L. Kornegay.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Trina D. Parker; his great grandchild Ricardo Kornegay; and his sister Jacqueline D. Childs. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
