It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Loretta Pumphrey Kennan (Washington, District of Columbia), born in Weyers Cave, Virginia, who passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Ralph Hyde Kennan; her daughter Stephanie of Washington, D. C.; and her sister Carolyn Miller of Staunton, VA. She is also survived by numerous cousins, a niece and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to So Others Might Eat or to local food banks.
