He was predeceased by: his parent Katherine M. Stanton; and his sibling Michael Stanton. He is survived by: his parent James S. Stanton; and his siblings, Katherine Roddy (Paul), James Stanton, Jr., Marie Cardany, Patrick Stanton (Jeannette), John Stanton (Kathleen), Sarah Rasmussen (John), David Stanton (Mary), Mary Margaret Barry and Mary Elizabeth Walsh. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.
