We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2025, at the age of 92, Max Garrett Manwaring of Washington, District of Columbia, born in Nephi, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Max Garrett departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Max Garrett may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Max Garrett leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Bateman; his children, Suan Kay Manwaring, Alan Douglas Manwaring and Paul Bateman Manwaring of Amsterdam; and his grandchildren, Sienna Manwaring of Amsterdam and Will Shumway Manwaring.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Capitol Hill Ward Chapel (413 W Capitol St, Salt Lake City, UT 84103). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park (17111 S Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale, UT 84065).
