She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Kyle and Patty Gwyn Jones; her husband Kenneth L. Courtney; her daughter Tanya Courtney; her granddaughter Rolonda Donelson; her sister Paulette Kyle Gregory; her niece Fleurette Gregory-Phillips (Dwoine); and her great-niece Asia Phillips. She was also cherished by other relatives, secondary children, and friends.
Her career then elevated to the Epilepsy Foundation of America (EFA) where she worked for 29 years as the office receptionist until retirement.
