He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramaswamy and Lakshmi. He is survived by: his children, Bala Chandar (Regina) and Vijaya Lakshmi (Atul Pathiyal); his grandchildren, Vijaya (Matt Lang), Adya (Bobby Soto), Deven Rangaswami, Arjun, Ashwin and Aditya Pathiyal; his great grandchild George Kavi; his sister-in-law Mangayama; his nieces and nephews, Shanthi Alagirisamy and Alargirisamy Ayyalusamy; his nieces and nephews, Sonia Legore, Alejandra Ruiz, Thatha and Avva; his pet Caramel; and also Vijay Alagirisamy.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Joseph Gawler's Sons (5130 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, in memory of M.R. Rangaswami.
